Hi and welcome to Reading, Berks - the home of, well, so many things.

Where do we start? The Reading Music Festival that takes place each August. The home of ING Direct, the savings bank. Of Reading Football Club, the Reading Half Marathon and so much more.

The fact is that Reading Berks is a great place to visit for so many reasons - or even to live. While property isn’t cheap thanks to it being in the London commuter belt (as well as having offices of major companies like Microsoft, Sun Microsystems etc.) the living is good.

There are loads of things to do besides all the shopping and restaurants. Besides the sports and music. We are on the Kennet And Avon canal where you can take a boat. The town is surrounded by beautiful villages and stretches of countryside to explore.

Yet we are less than an hour from central London making it’s location perfect.

This new site dedicated to Reading aims to be the “be all and end all” resoirce for the town so no matter whether you are considering your first visit or have lived here all your life, jump in and get involved - you’ll be glad you did.
